Shade School At the beginning of 2007 we were asked by Green Business Network to provide two trees for Shade School in Todmorden. The trees were to be planted in recycled plastic planters which were placed in the playground of the school. The planters were provided by the ABLE project in Wakefield. The tree planting was part of the Shade4Shade project which aims to improve the wider environment in the school and surrounding area. Cathy and David Sergeant took the trees along in March 2007 and gave a short talk to Year 4 children. After this we all went into the school playground and the children assisted with the tree planting. An Oak was planted first and then a Rowan.
